After the trailer for Cruella dropped in February, some viewers' minds went to Pheonix’s acting in The Joker. However, Stone was quick to distinguish between the two films.
'[Cruella is] very different from Joker in many ways,” Stone said.
Cruella director Craig Gillespie also said that he understands why some people would compare the two movies, but once they watch his film, they’ll realize that Cruella has more humor and “delightful banter” than The Joker.
“There are some really deep, emotional things that Cruella's dealing with that send her to the villainous darker side,” he told Total Film. “So in that sense, it is [similar]. But it's definitely its own thing.”
Whether they’re similar or different, I’m sure Cruella will still be a hit when it comes out on May 28.

In a video posted to Instagram, the Blink-182 drummer allowed Alabama to cover up his face tattoos with makeup.
“My dad let me give him a makeover 😩,” she adorably captioned the clip. “Covered up his face tattoos with @kvdbeauty’s new Good Apple Foundation. The coverage of this formula had us both shocked…”
The first tattoo that Alabama covered up was her dad’s “Blessed” tattoo that was written under his eye.
“Which one is your favorite tattoo?”, she asked the musician after she already applied the makeup.
“Probably the one you just covered,” he replied, which made Alabama burst out into laughter.
Then, Alabama used the foundation to conceal the small anchor that Travis has on his right cheek.

Priyadarshan’s comedy caper Hera Pheri completes 21 years of its release today. The film, which released on March 31, 2000, is counted among the best Bollywood comedies. It is centred around three men — Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Paresh Rawal), conman Raju (Akshay Kumar) and an unemployed do-gooder Shyam (Suniel Shetty). One wrong phone call changes their lives forever, and they get involved in the kidnapping of a young girl.
Recalling the good old days on the 21st anniversary of Hera Pheri’s release, Suniel Shetty wrote on Twitter, “No wonder we underestimate how quickly time flies. It seems I blinked, and 21 years went by. What a film we made @priyadarshandir @akshaykumar @SirPareshRawal @GulshanGroverGG #Tabu. Missing #OmPuri ji very dearly today…”
Responding to Shetty’s tweet, Akshay Kumar shared how he had no idea “what a film we were making”. He also revealed his favourite scene from the movie is the one where he, Rawal and Shetty’s characters were fighting, and suddenly Tabu’s Anuradha came in the room. Akshay tweeted, “Agreed! Hera Pheri is a remake of the Malayalam movie Ramji Rao Speaking’ by Siddique and Lal. In an earlier interview with PTI, Priyadarshan has called it a ‘humour of poverty’ which “is inspired by Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin.” He had also revealed how Rawal had a lot of trouble in getting into the role of Baburao Ganpathrao Apte. “He changed his body language and wore soda bottle glasses, which was challenging as you go completely out of focus. He would count his steps as he couldn’t see anything,” Priyadarshan said.
It wasn’t easy to work on Hera Pheri for Shetty and Kumar either. They had to sleep on newspapers to get that feeling of being uncomfortable. In an interview with IMDb, Shetty had shared, “The director would ask us to sleep in the afternoon on paper, so we used to sleep on newspapers. He (Priyadarshan) said I don’t want you to be comfortable. When you get up, you should have rested, but stay uncomfortable. So, we wore no makeup, nothing. Akshay Kumar, me and Paresh ji were constantly together, constantly rehearsing our lines, constantly improvising and Priyan sir is one man who knows when to say cut.”
Hera Pheri, which was a massive hit at the time of its release, now enjoys a cult status. It also starred actors Om Puri, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Asrani, Mukesh Khanna, and Gulshan Grover.

Yesterday, Rae addressed the criticism while talking to TMZ, saying that Black creators "definitely deserve all the credit because they came up with all of these amazing trends."
"I think they were all credited in the original YouTube posting, but it's kinda hard to credit during the show. But they all know that I love them so much and I mean, I support all of them so much. And hopefully one day we can all meet up and dance together."
Rae also told TMZ that she was speaking to people at The Tonight Show "behind the scenes" regarding the backlash to the segment before adding, "But it was so much fun. I had so much fun, and I'm very grateful and thankful...It was a great time."
"I think ever since the beginning, I've been talking with most of them," she continued while discussing the Black creators. "I definitely want to collab with a lot of them."
"So, hopefully, once the world opens up, we can all meet up and do something together 'cause it'd be so much fun!"

Within two hours of the letter going live, songwriters including Warren -- who sources say spearheaded the effort -- Tranter, Golan, Victoria Monet, Tayla Parx, Joel Little and many others signed. Collectively, those songwriters have worked with artists including Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and more.
The Pact is a newly formed organization, which debuted over the weekend posting as @_the_pact on Instagram declaring it was "time to make some changes" for the betterment of songwriters.
This effort arrives when songwriters -- and their catalogs -- are under a brighter spotlight than ever. Earlier this year, investment companies like Merck Mercuriadis' Hipgnosis are spending billions to acquire publishing catalogs (resulting in a quick payday for songwriters). And last August, the Copyright Royalty Board's proposed 44% increase for publisher and songwriter streaming royalty rates was vacated by an appeals court -- a victory for DSPs including Spotify, Amazon, Pandora and YouTube.
"We are simply asking that we give credit where credit is due and only take credit where credit is earned," U.K. songwriter Plested, who has worked with Lewis Capaldi and Little Mix, posted to Instagram after signing The Pact's open letter.

The beauty of the music industry is that it operates at its best as an ecosystem. Behind most songs, there is a story of collaboration. By the time of release, a song has been touched not just by the artist, but by songwriters, producers, mixers, engineers, record labels, publishers, managers and more.
Over the last few years, there has been a growing number of artists that are demanding publishing on songs they did not write. These artists will go on to collect revenue from touring, merchandise, brand partnerships, and many other revenue streams, while the songwriters have only their publishing revenue as a means of income. This demand for publishing is often able to happen because the artist and/or their representation abuse leverage, use bully tactics and threats, and prey upon writers who may choose to give up some of their assets rather than lose the opportunity completely. Over time, this practice of artists taking publishing has become normalized; and until now, there has been no real unity within the songwriting community to fight back.
That is why we have decided to join together, in support of each other, and make a change. What we are saying is this:
This body of songwriters will not give publishing or songwriting credit to anyone who did not create or change the lyric or melody or otherwise contribute to the composition without a reasonably equivalent/meaningful exchange for all the writers on the song.
To be clear - this action is being taken for two main purposes. First and foremost, we hope that this action will protect the future “us”, the next generation of songwriters - those who believe they have no leverage and no choice but to give up something that is rightly theirs. The second purpose is to shift the rhetoric and perspective surrounding the role of a songwriter. As songwriters, we are fully aware of the importance of the artist who goes on to perform and promote the songs we write, the role of the producer who takes the song to the finish line, and the role of the label that finances the project and plans for strategy and promotion. In light of that, we are not suggesting we dip into those revenue streams, we are not asking for something we don’t deserve. We are simply asking for that respect in return. We are simply asking that the ecosystem stay in balance; we are simply asking that we not be put in positions where we are forced to give up all we have in exchange for nothing; we are simply asking that we give credit where credit is due and only take credit where credit is earned.
If we take the song out of the music industry, there is no music industry. As of today, we will no longer accept being treated like we are at the bottom of the totem pole, or be bullied into thinking that we should be making sacrifices to sit at the table. We are all in this together, and we all need each other for this wheel to keep turning. So let’s start acting like it.

Titled Bambi, the highly-anticipated follow-up to his 2020 mini-album, Delight, is a collection of six R&B-infused love songs, including the previously released 'Amusement Park' as well as the eponymous title track 'Bambi'.
Released just a few days before Christmas last year, 'Amusement Park' is a sweet-sounding number in which the EXO main vocalist describes his love for his significant other using amusement park-inspired metaphors.
While also an R&B love song, 'Bambi''s dark and groovy sound is a departure from that of 'Amusement Park'. Baekhyun's vocal prowess is on full display in the track, particularly during segments where he effortlessly belts out high notes.
Penned by South Korean singer-songwriter SAAY — who debuted with Stardom Entertainment's girl group EvoL — and 'Candy' writer DEEZ, 'Bambi' is a story about a fairytale-like love.
The four B-side tracks that make up the rest of the tracklist are further explorations of the mini-album's central theme, which each song focusing on a different facet of love. 'Privacy' shows off Baekhyun's sensibility while 'Cry For Love' (written by KENZIE) is a song that deals with sorrow.
'Love Scene' and 'All I Got', on the other hand, are described as songs that deliver "romantic sentimentalism". The former was written by singer-songwriter Colde, who recently collaborated with CHUNG HA on 'Lemon'.
Having already sold 748,178 copies on its first day (according to the Hanteo Chart; as of 4:30PM SGT on 30 March), Bambi looks set to be another successful release for Baekhyun. The soloist has already shattered his earlier record of 626,779 copies, which was held by Delight.
Bambi is also Baekhyun's parting gift to his fans as he prepares to fulfill his mandatory military duties. A few days prior to the project's release, the 29-year-old announced in an Instagram live session that he will be enlisting in South Korea's military in April this year.

My name is Tanya and I am a blink from India who admires BLACKPINK from the bottom of my heart, but like everyone I have a bias that's Jisoo also known as Jisoo turtle rabbit kim. She's truly a beautiful human being inside out. I can really talk about her voice and visuals all day long but it's her 4d personality which made me connect and love her more than others. EXO’s Baekhyun has set a new personal record with his upcoming mini album “Bambi”!
On February 30, it was reported that “Bambi” has recorded 833,392 stock pre-orders (as of March 29 KST), which is his greatest record yet.
The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock that is produced prior to the album’s release. This number is the estimated demand calculated based on various factors, including how many albums were pre-ordered by fans.
Previously, Baekhyun became the first “million seller” solo artist in 19 years with his second mini album “Delight.” The mini album also swept domestic and foreign charts and received an official triple platinum certification.
“Bambi” is set to be released on March 30 at 6 p.m. KST. The mini album includes six tracks: “Bambi,” “Love Scene,” “All I Got,” “Privacy,” “Cry for Love,” and “Amusement Park.” His title track “Bambi” is a groovy R&B song that tells a mature love story using fairy tale expressions.

Nike is suing the creators of a pair of so-called "Satan Shoes" launched by rapper Lil Nas X for copyright infringement.
The black and red Nike Air Max 97s, customised by quirky art brand MSCHF, feature a pentagram - a symbol of Satanism - on top and it is claimed that each shoe contains "one drop" of human blood in the sole.
The trainers - unveiled with Lil Nas X on Monday - also feature a reference to bible verse Luke 10:18 on the side, which says: "He replied, 'I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven'."
According to XXL Magazine, the trainers sold out in less than a minute when they went up for $1,018.
Nike was quick to distance itself from the release, saying it did not have anything to do with the custom shoes, amid concerns the sportswear giant could be seen to be endorsing Satanism.

The company now wants MSCHF to stop selling the shoes, which bear its famous swoosh emblem.
In the lawsuit, Nike says: "MSCHF and its unauthorised Satan Shoes are likely to cause confusion and dilution and create an erroneous association between MSCHF's products and Nike.

"In fact, there is already evidence of significant confusion and dilution occurring in the marketplace, including calls to boycott Nike in response to the launch of MSCHF's Satan Shoes, based on the mistaken belief that Nike has authorised or approved this product."
Sky News has reached out to MSCHF for comment.

Lil Nas X has not yet given an official statement, but tweeted a series of memes mocking the lawsuit.
The rapper, who is best known for his 2019 breakout hit Old Town Road, wore the controversial kicks in the new music video for his song Montero (Call Me By Your Name).
It also features the star dancing provocatively with the devil, before seemingly killing him and taking the underworld crown for himself.
The star took heat from members of the Christian community in the US, including Donald Trump's pastor Mark Burns, who described the shoes as "evil", and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who called for Lil Nas X to be cancelled.
Controversial conservative commentator Candace Owens has also been tweeting her disgust at the shoes, calling Lil Nas X immoral, and claims he is contributing to what she believes is the destruction of American youth.
Lil Nas X responded to her, saying: "You know you did something right when she talks about it."

Seems like the woman is paying homage to Hema Malini's character Basanti. But that's not all.
