BLACKPINK also previously held the record for the fastest K-pop girl group music video to reach 800 million views with DDU-DU DDU-DU.
It seems like BLACKPINK members are on a record-breaking spree! On March 12, BLACKPINK's golden-voiced vocalist, Rosé released her solo debut album, R, accompanied by the lead title track On The Ground. On The Ground has done exceptionally well, racking an impressive 3,262,615 streams in the first 24 hours since its release. Rosé beat artists like Drake and Justin Beiber to rank at number 8 on Global Spotify. Now, the super-star girl group has added another feather to their star-studded crown of achievements.
On March 13 at approximately 10 pm KST, the music video for How You Like That surpassed 800 million views on YouTube. The MV was released on June 26, 2020, at 6 pm KST. How You Like That achieved this incredible feat in less than a year of its release! To be precise it took about eight months and two weeks to reach the milestone, a new record for the girls. Previously, BLACKPINK's smash-hit song, DDU-DU DDU-DU, achieved 800 million views in 10 months and 26 days. How You Like That beat BLACKPINK's previously set record. Impressive!
This isn't the first time BLACKPINK has raked in such impressive numbers on YouTube! This is BLACKPINK’s fifth music video to hit 800 million views, following the smash-hit, DDU-DU DDU-DU, the debut title track, BOOMBAYAH, the girl anthem, Kill This Love, and As If It’s Your Last.
