“Global Citizen Live,” a major event for music and activism, will bring the hottest artists to stages around the world this weekend.
On Saturday, Sept. 25, this special 24-hour event will be live broadcast on ABC beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET (9:30 a.m. PT). You can also watch it on FuboTV (7-day free trial) and on Hulu + Live TV (free trial, regional restrictions apply).
The special supports the Recovery Plan for the World, which this year will fight COVID-19, hunger, obstacles to education and equity, and climate change.
The 2021 lineup includes headliners Billie Eilish, BTS, Jennifer Lopez, Doja Cat, Shawn Mendes, Camilla Cabello, Green Day, Lizzo and Elton John, plus performances by 5 Seconds of Summer, Adam Lambert, Alessia Cara, Andrew Bocelli, Charlie Puth, Chloe x Halle, Coldplay, Cyndi Lauper, Demi Lovato, Duran Duran, Ed Sheeran, OneRepublic and Ricky Martin among other international artists. “Global Citizen” event stages are in Lagos, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Mumbai, Sydney, London and Seoul.
Guest speakers include Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed; and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
