​​​​​​​‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ team asks fans not to enter houses used as filming sites - Manila Bulletin

The Korean drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” starring Shin Min-a and Kim Seon-ho is enjoying popularity.

However, the real owners of the houses that are being used as filming locations for the drama are suffering because of fans entering the properties.

The production team of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” issued a notice on Oct. 5 asking fans not to enter the houses used in the drama.

“We would like to thank the viewers for their love and we would like to ask you one thing regarding your visit to the filming location,” they said.

It added, “In the drama, Hye-jin’s house [Shin Min-a], Dusik’s house [Kim Seon-ho], Gam-ri’s house [Kim Young-ok] and Cho-hee’s house [Hong Ji-hee] are places were rented during the filming period and are where the owners currently reside.”

“They helped our drama with good intentions but their daily lives are suffering due to visitors. For the above reason, please refrain from entering the houses when visiting the filming location,” the production team said.

They advised that for those who want to experience the afterglow of the drama, through Pohang City’s consideration, fans can visit the squid statue at Cheongha Market and the boats in Sabang Memorial Park, which will be maintained after the filming is finished. Pohang City is 298 km from Seoul, according to the city government’s website.

“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” aired its 11th and 12th episodes last Oct. 2 and 3. According to Nielsen Korea, episode 11 got a nationwide rating of 9.299 percent (first place) and 9.935 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area.

For episode 12, the ratings are 10.723 percent nationwide (first place) and 11.649 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area (first place). Four more episodes will be aired including the 16th and final episode on Oct. 17.
