Kim Seon Ho to remain lead in ‘Sad Tropics’: Report - Times of India

South Korean actor Kim Seon Ho will stay as the main cast of the upcoming film ‘Sad Tropics’ reportedly. He was previously removed from the film following a huge controversy involving his past dating relationship where his ex-girlfriend accused him of gaslighting and forced abortion.

According to Star News, Kim Seon Ho has been considered for the film after a series of discussions by the production team. “After much consideration, we have decided to proceed with filming starting this year with Kim Seon Ho” quoted the production house. They confirmed to kickstart the film shoot with Kim Seon Ho due to the lack of a suitable alternative to replace the actor, reportedly.

Reports also suggest that while the film team considered replacing Kim Seon Ho, however, the last-minute decision made other actors either refuse the role citing date problems or simply decline it, owing to the concerns over Kim Seon Ho’s scandal.
Meanwhile, the team also were in talks to further delay the shooting schedule till next year, but, in the end, decided to move ahead with the production due to several time-bound reasons.
Although the team is now gearing up to film, it’s Kim Seon Ho who is yet to confirm if he is well enough to resume work anytime soon. On the other hand, his co-stars who were on the fence about the film, will too confirm their available dates for the shoot as soon as Kim Seon Ho is ready.
If everything goes well, the shooting of ‘Sad Tropics’ will start in December this year and will be Kim Seon Ho’s film debut.
Kim Seon Ho last appeared in tvN’s ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.’
