As anticipation mounts for the upcoming 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, enthusiasts of Korean entertainment eagerly await a celebration of six decades of artistic brilliance. Set to unfold on May 7 at the COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, this event promises to pay tribute to excellence across a spectrum of mediums, including broadcast, cable, and streaming television content, as well as domestic films and theatrical productions.
Hosts and presenters
The upcoming ceremony will be emceed by comedian and TV personality Shin Dong Yup, alongside the co-stars of the 2024 sci-fi flick Wonderland, Bae Suzy and Park Bo Gum. A lineup of distinguished presenters awaits, including last year's Grand Prize winners such as Park Eun Bin, director Park Chan Wook, Lee Sung Min, Song Hye Kyo, Ryu Jun Yeol, Tang Wei, Jo Woo Jin, Lim Ji Yeon, Byun Yo Han, Park Se Wan, Kim Jong Kook, and Lee Eun Ji. Exhuma leads the film category with 8 nominations, while 12.12: The Day has 7 nods and Smugglers has five nods. TV shows like Moving and The Good Bad Mother are leading the nods with 7 and 4 nominations respectively.
When and where to watch
The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony will be held at COEX, Seoul on May 7, 2024, at 17:00 (KST). The awards will be broadcast live simultaneously on South Korean networks JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4. Although last year's ceremony was streamed live on TikTok, there has been no official announcement regarding its inclusion for the 2024 event yet.
