Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License' Registers Fifth Week Atop Both Billboard Global Charts - Billboard

Billboard's two global charts (the latest of which are dated Feb. 20) rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by MRC Data. The Billboard Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.

Chart rankings are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts' calculations.

'License' Has Longest Global 200 Domination

Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License" holds atop the Billboard Global 200 with 78.8 million streams, the week's top streaming sum (down 12%), and 24,000 sold (up 12%) worldwide in the Feb. 5-11 tracking week.

The single by the singer-songwriter and actress, initially known for her roles in Disney Channel's Bizaardvark and Disney+'s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, solely claims the mark for the longest Global 200 command yet, surpassing the four-week reigns of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" (December-January) and BTS' "Dynamite" (October-January).

The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" holds at its No. 2 Global 200 high and "Save Your Tears" rises 4-3 for a new best rank. "Lights" drew 61.7 million streams (up 33%) and sold 38,000 (up 194%), the week's best sales total, worldwide in the tracking week. "Tears" tallied 58.9 million streams (up 36%) and sold 24,000 (up 114%) globally.

Both "Lights" and "Tears" are from The Weeknd's 2020 LP After Hours and additionally appear on his new hits collection The Highlights.

Cardi B's "Up" launches at No. 4 on the Global 200 with 53.7 million streams and 27,000 worldwide following its Feb. 5 release. She previously ranked in the top five with "WAP" (featuring Megan Thee Stallion), which ruled the chart for three weeks last September and October.

BTS' "Dynamite" closes out the Global 200's top five, dropping 4-5.

Rodrigo, The Weeknd Also Take Top 3

Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License" concurrently crowns the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for a fifth week, with 52.2 million streams (down 11%) and 7,000 sold (down 14%) in territories outside the U.S. in the Feb. 5-11 tracking week.

The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" lifts 3-2 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, reaching a new high on the latter ranking, and "Save Your Tears" jumps 6-3, reaching the Global Excl. U.S. top five for the first time. "Lights" ascends with 42 million streams (up 26%) and 11,000 sold (up 151%) outside the U.S., while "Tears" climbs with 38.9 million streams (up 30%) and 10,000 sold (up 73%).

BTS' "Dynamite" descends 2-4 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, after a record eight weeks at No. 1, and Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez's "Dákiti" drops 4-5, following its five-week domination.

The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts (dated Feb. 20) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Feb. 17). For both charts, the top 100 titles are available to all readers on Billboard.com, while the complete 200-title rankings are visible on Billboard Pro, Billboard's subscription-based service.
